Spread The Better

People can be so cruel and do such damage to others. The very idea of cheating on a spouse, hiding a habit, compulsively lying, etc is such a foreign concept to us. We don’t do these things and we don’t condone them. When these things happen to us we are left reeling in the betrayal and deceit. We desperately try to understand how they could do such a hurtful thing to someone they claim to care about. We wrestle with this and we desperately look for answers. The only problem is, there’s no logical reason for these actions.

You will never fully understand what drives someone to do things that are below your standard. They can give you a list of reasons on why they cheated but the reality is that none of them are viable. They have a flaw in their conscience, no impulse control, and have a severe lack of compassion for others. A person of good moral standing would think, “I could never betray my spouse like that.” A person of low moral standing doesn’t think that way, they see the possibility and all other worry escapes them.

It is this difference that creates a disconnect and you should be grateful for it. Why would you want your mind to be able to understand and reason with the desires of degeneracy? How could your brain possibly understand such horrible desires that can only do harm? Be thankful your moral standing is above these actions and take comfort in the fact that those actions can only be justified and carried out by someone with lesser of a heart than you. They have revealed to you the level they’re on.
